The
Susan G. Komen Foundation was founded in her memory after her death to breast cancer in 1982. Since then, Susan’s sister promised to do everything she could to stop breast cancer and, with the help from Race for the Cure, has raised more than $2 billion to help fund research, offer health education, cover the cost of screenings, and curb the price of treatment.
