Cincinnati Overpass Collapse Kills One, Injures Another
UPDATE: Police have identified the construction worker involved in the accident as Brandon Carl, 35, of Kentucky. Carl was operating a backhoe when the bridge collapsed.
The Cincinnati Fire Department has released initial details on the collapse of an interstate overpass in Cincinnati on Monday evening.
According to the report, the incident occurred on I-75 in the southbound lanes just near Hopple Street and resulted in the death of a construction worker and the injury of a truck driver that hit the debris from the bridge as it crashed into the roadway.

Witnesses to the scene were quoted as hearing "a real big boom," which was followed shortly after by a number of police cars that rushed to the scene.
