Authorities say the accident happened just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of E. Broad Street and N. Waggoner Road. Authorities say the Hyundai Sonata was waiting to make a left-hand turn at the intersection when it was hit from behind by the Kia SUV. That collision appears to have started a chain reaction. Officials say the force from the collision pushed the SUV into traffic traveling west, where it was hit on the driver side by a pick-up truck. The 28-year-old driver of the SUV was pronounced dead on the scene. Both drivers of the other two vehicles, a GMC and a Sonata are expected to make full recoveries. There were early reports that a semi-truck was involved, but we are still trying to confirm those details.
